  • One or more individual assessments as appropriate for your goals and interests.

Insight

  • Sessions are usually one hour and can be conducted in person, by video conference or by phone

  • The time between sessions gives you the opportunity to practice what you’ve discussed and learned
  • New sessions include follow-up and assessment of results from your actions

Assessments Include:

  • 360° Behavioral Feedback Survey
  • Qualitative 360° Feedback based on interviews with key stakeholders
  • CliftonStrengths or VIA-Individual Strengths profile
  • M-CODE assessment of your core motivations
  • DISC Behavioral Style

A typical coaching engagement could be:

  • Four sessions over 1-2 months to discuss a specific challenge or opportunity
  • Eight sessions over 2-4 months to gain clarity on your leadership strengths and practice what you learn
  • Twelve sessions over 3-6 months for in-depth work on several skills or challenges
  • Some assessments, such as a behavioral 360 survey, may be repeated to assess changes seen by others
  • You decide when the coaching process is complete (and one of my jobs as a coach is to “work myself out of a job” by helping you internalize self-coaching behaviors)

TEAM BUILDING

Discovery

  • Initial discussion to share context and experience of the team and set goals for growth and development
  • One or more individual/team assessments as appropriate for the team’s goals and experience

Insight

Action

  • “Homework” given between sessions (or after a one-time event) to ensure application of learning
  • Follow-up check-in meetings with the team (or team leader) to provide resources and support; these maybe 15-30 minute discussions incorporated into existing team meetings
  • Your team learns to facilitate its own growth process
